The Opportunity

We now have an amazing opportunity to be PARTT of something meaningful. As a key member of our Care Services team, you will play a hands-on role supporting participants in our SIL Accommodation homes.

This role involves direct support, community engagement, and fostering independence for individuals with mental health care needs.

Key Duties Include:

  • Medication administration
  • Home Based Daily Living Support
  • Taking participants for appointments and other community participation
  • Behaviour observation and support
  • Meal preparation and shopping assistance
  • Maintaining a record of participant progress
  • Assessing participants to determine continuing needs
  • Assistance in building participant self-image and self-confidence
  • Manual Handling of participants
  • Availability to cover a range of shifts including sleepovers and weekends

This participant requires 24-hour care so a variety of shifts will be available.

Remuneration: $35- $38 + Penalties when applicable + Superannuation 

 

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking experienced, capable support workers with a background supporting challenging clients.

The successful candidates will have:

  • Own vehicle for transport with comprehensive insurance
  • Current QLD Unrestricted Driver’s License
  • Ability to work varied shifts
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Ageing or related industries highly regarded
  • Experience with Mental Health Clients highly regarded
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Current Working with Children Check/ Blue Card
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check/ Yellow Card 

To meet the unique needs of this participant, we are seeking candidates who:

  • Are female
  • Can communicate clearly in both spoken and written English
  • Are experienced with, or confident in, restrictive practice guidelines and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Have demonstrated experience supporting mental health clients
  • Have First Nations heritage (highly regarded)
