Job Description
At Hands on People Pty Ltd (HOP), we are seeking a Senior Finance Officer to join our team. This position will be based in Brisbane (QLD) and plays an integral role in ensuring that the objectives and requirements of the finance function are met.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Manage daily finance operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable
Manage end to end fortnightly payroll process including ensuring payment of superannuation and PAYG withholding are made on time, year end STP data reconciliation
Prepare monthly management reports, cashflow forecasts and budget performance reviews
Process BAS, IAS, FBT, and Payroll Tax
Must comply with all the financial and legal requirements, responsibilities, and obligations of the organization.
Setup Centre pay Deductions and reporting. (training provided)
Maintain all insurances like PIPL, vehicle, glass, workmen compensation, etc.
Strengthen financial systems, internal controls and procedural improvements
Assist in the recruitment, training, and appraisal of finance team members.
Support the Manager Corporate Services with ad-hoc projects and deliverables.

Required:
Minimum 2 - 3 + years of working experience in a team-leading role for finance.
Represent HOP in a positive and effective manner by actively demonstrating HOP Values.
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, accounts payable, receivables, preparation of financial reports, and GST in relation to suppliers.
Demonstrated computer literacy (including advanced Excel), keyboarding skills (alpha and numeric), and proficiency in all modules of Xero.
Interpersonal and communication skills to provide high-quality internal and external customer service and work productively in a team environment.
Effective time management and organizational skills with a demonstrated initiative to problem-solve financial administrative matters.
Respond to requests by clients and fellow staff in a knowledgeable, professional, constructive and respectful manner.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Relevant Accounts / Finance degree and experience in the field.
Current QLD unrestricted drivers’ license
Valid NDIS Card
Valid Blue Card
Desired Skills and Experience
Desirable:
Extended knowledge about the NDIS system and the industry.
Able to work in a team and be proactive in finding solutions to anticipated challenges.
CA/CPA/IPA Australia qualification with ongoing membership preferred.
