The Opportunity
We now have an amazing opportunity to be PARTT of something meaningful. As a key member of our Care Services team, you will play a hands-on role supporting participants in our SIL Accommodation homes.
The successful candidates will possess the experience to work with individuals with complex care needs. Local applicants are preferred.
Key Duties Include:
Medication administration
Home Based Daily Living Support
Taking participants for appointments and other community participation
Behavior observation and support
Meal preparation and shopping assistance
Maintaining a record of participant progress
Assessing participants to determine continuing needs
Assistance in building participant self-image and self-confidence
Manual Handling of participants
Availability to cover a range of shifts including sleepovers and weekends
This participant requires 24-hour care so a variety of shifts will be available.
Desired Skills and Experience
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking experienced, capable support workers with a background supporting challenging clients.
The successful candidates will have:
Own vehicle for transport with comprehensive insurance
Ability to work varied shifts
Certificate III or IV in Disability, Ageing or related industries highly regarded
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
Current National Police Clearance
Current QLD Unrestricted Driver’s License
Due to participant requirements, we can only consider candidates who meet the below requirements in this instance:
Female
Aged 30-45
Not of African or Asian descent
Clear spoken English
Experienced or comfortable and knowledgeable with restrictive practice guidelines and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
Experience with Mental Health practices
Candidates with First Nations heritage highly regarded
