The Opportunity

We now have an amazing opportunity to be PARTT of something meaningful. As a key member of our Care Services team, you will play a hands-on role supporting participants in our SIL Accommodation homes.

The successful candidates will possess the experience to work with individuals with complex care needs. Local applicants are preferred.

Key Duties Include:

  • Medication administration
  • Home Based Daily Living Support
  • Taking participants for appointments and other community participation
  • Behavior observation and support
  • Meal preparation and shopping assistance
  • Maintaining a record of participant progress
  • Assessing participants to determine continuing needs
  • Assistance in building participant self-image and self-confidence
  • Manual Handling of participants
  • Availability to cover a range of shifts including sleepovers and weekends

This participant requires 24-hour care so a variety of shifts will be available.

Desired Skills and Experience

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking experienced, capable support workers with a background supporting challenging clients.

The successful candidates will have:

  • Own vehicle for transport with comprehensive insurance
  • Ability to work varied shifts
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Ageing or related industries highly regarded
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Current QLD Unrestricted Driver’s License

Due to participant requirements, we can only consider candidates who meet the below requirements in this instance:

  • Female
  • Aged 30-45
  • Not of African or Asian descent
  • Clear spoken English
  • Experienced or comfortable and knowledgeable with restrictive practice guidelines and Positive Behaviour Support Plans
  • Experience with Mental Health practices
  • Candidates with First Nations heritage highly regarded
